How it began

In 1927, Los Angeles baker Harry Baker created chiffon cake—light as a cloud, soft as a morning breeze. It married the richness of butter cake with the lift of angel food and quickly became a companion to celebrations big and small.

Sweetland takes shape

Founded in 2020 in Winter Garden, Florida, Sweetland blends Asian-inspired flavors with an artistic presentation, pairing heritage techniques with modern convenience, health-conscious recipes, and eco-friendly packaging.

We’ve grown beyond our retail roots into wholesale partnerships and OEM/ODM private-label services—always holding fast to small-batch care and community spirit.

A-MERRY-CAN Pop Cake:
happiness, anywhere

In 2025, we introduced A-MERRY-CAN Pop Cake—Florida’s first canned chiffon cake. Fresh-sealed in 100% recyclable, food-grade PET cans, it preserves chiffon’s signature lightness and delivers it in a format that fits real life. Our portfolio includes Sugar-Free and No Added Sugar lines, gluten-free, and fully plant-based options. The playful name salutes chiffon’s American origin and celebrates cake’s timeless meaning: merriment, sharing, and togetherness—happiness, anytime, anywhere.

The people behind the cake

Sweetland is led by co-founders Jonason Zhang and Cherry Xie. Cherry is an internationally recognized baker and 2nd-place winner in a 2019 international baking competition, bringing meticulous craft to every layer; Jonason leads with vision and product innovation. Together, they infuse a global perspective and creativity into everything we make.

Our easy-open PET can protects freshness and texture while enabling portability and efficient storage—dessert that travels beautifully and reduces waste through longer shelf life. It’s small-batch quality designed for modern schedules.
